: THE
LAST LOCAL ROCK SHOW will take place at the Aylesbury
Civic Centre on Friday 28 May 2010. This event
will be the last ‘local-bands’ showcase at the Civic
Centre before the building gets knocked down, to make way for
the fantastic new Aylesbury Waterside Theatre – which is
currently scheduled to open on 12 October 2010. Tickets are £10,
and features seven bands, two stages and three bars. 14+ venue.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are available at the Aylesbury Civic
Centre: Box Office 01296 486009, and online at www.AylesburyCivic.co.uk.

AYLESBURY FESTIVAL is now scheduled to run on
17 & 18 July 2010 in Kingsbury, Aylesbury
Town Centre, due to a last minute change of date – (due
to circumstances beyond our control). More information will

: After a short break of 25 years Friars Aylesbury
will rise from the ashes on Monday 1 June for a special concert
to mark the 40th Anniversary of the legendary Aylesbury club.
This ‘Phase One’ Gig sees The Pretty Things,
Edgar Broughton, The Groundhogs perform from 7.30pm (Doors
7pm).

The National Chopper Club will be attending HOTC 2008 to
show off and display 300 of the best custom made motorcycles from
across the UK and Europe. This will take place on the top floor
of the Civic Centre Car Park from approx 1pm - so don't forget

A new book chronicling the history of Eddie and the Hot
Rods "Do Anything You Wanna Do" (what else!) written
by Steve Crancher, will be launched on May 3rd at Waterstones
book shop (Royals branch) in Southend on Sea. Original members,
Barrie Masters (who still fronts the band), guitarist Dave Higgs
and drummer Steve Nichol will all be there to sign copies of the
book.

the Aylesbury Showcase Warm-Up gigs for Saturday
19 August and Saturday 26 August
(only) at The Britannia, Aylesbury. We are really sorry to have
to cancel this at such short notice, but there was no choice in
the matter. All other gigs remain scheduled as before.
